What is the Hi-boost 5S Booster Used for?

The Huaptec booster is used when you want to 100% future proof the amplifier you buy for the next 20 years. It has all 5 bands legal in the UK to boost including the 700MHz which is only being rolled out between 2025-2027, mainly to all rural areas. Where the 4s model will boost all of the 4G bands it only boosts some of the 5G bands. The Huaptec HI10-5s boosts all frequencies presently (October 2025) allowed in the UK being 700/800/900/1800 and 2100MHz. This means boosting mobile signal for Vodafone, EE, Three and o2 networks all at once and it is listed on the Ofcom website as an Ofcom preferred mobile signal booster. The one major advantage Huaptec has across all competitors, in that it can boost all UK Networks at the one time and remain compliant but the disadvantage is the power is low at 10dB and means the coverage is limited to homes, apartments and small offices and it’s not suitable for large homes or commercial use.

This Hi-Boost 5s mobile booster is 40% dearer but this is because it supports 5 bands, one extra than the 4s model. The extra band covered is the 700 MHz, this is the reason for the additional fee. The additional technology means 5G in the 700MHz range will be boosted if it is available in your area. This is a nice to have feature but your signal boosted indoors will be almost as good with the cheaper 4s amplifier and will work just as well in almost every case.  The 700 MHz was previously only used for TV and has been cleared so it can be used by the mobile operators in the future for additional 4G and 5G broadcasting. 

The amplifier is only 10dB and as a result is ideal for areas where the outdoor signal is strong, where signal is below 2 bars the unit will still work but the coverage will be reduced.

It is however the best value amplifier in the UK thats meets Ofcom regulations and Huaptec is the only supplier that covers all networks in the home at once. How do I know if the Huaptec 5s booster will boost 5G in my area?

To know if the 5G booster will work, you need to know what band you are on when your handset is connected. For o2, Vodafone and Three if its Band 20 (800MHz) or Band 28 (700MHz) which are the 2 main channels for 5G allowed to be boosted, the Huaptec 5s amplifier will work, if it is band 7 which is 2600MHz, it will not boost that band as its illegal to do so in the UK at present, as at October 2025.  EE tends to broadcast 5G on the 1800 MHz which the Hi-Boost 5S will also cover.
